City of Brentwood Awarded "City Award"
The City of Brentwood was recently recognized by the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police at its annual conference last week in Murfreesboro. TACP outgoing President and also Brentwood Police Chief, Jeff Hughes, presented the City Award to Brentwood. Hughes said, "As the outgoing President of the TACP, I chose to give this award to the City of Brentwood for their continued support of me in my Presidency. City Manager Kirk Bednar and our elected officials understand that TACP is committed to promoting professionalism and excellence in Law Enforcement by providing quality professional development on current and relevant issues we are facing today," Hughes said.
According to the TACP, the City Award is for a city that gives their support and assistance in the pursuit of the goals and objectives of the TACP. This award is chosen each year and awarded by the outgoing President.
