Brentwood, Tenn. –   Whether you have lived in Brentwood all your life or just moved here last month, the City of Brentwood invites everyone to celebrate 50 years of the past, present, and future throughout 2019.  Incorporated as a municipality in 1969 with a population of a little more than 3,000 in the small, rural community, today Brentwood has grown into the state’s 16th largest city, with a population of more than 43,000.   Throughout the years, Brentwood has kept its focus on purposeful growth, green space, and historic preservation.

Previous city commissioners had a vision for our town and it's been an honor to help see that through. These 50th birthday events will be a great way to give our residential and commercial neighbors a chance to celebrate what Brentwood has been and is becoming. -- Brentwood Mayor Jill Burgin
