Who We Are

The Friends of the Brentwood Library is a nonprofit (501c3) service organization dedicated to the advancement of our community through its library.

The Friends have accomplished much during their almost 40 years of service working side-by-side with library.  Starting from its humble beginnings to what it is today, the Friends have helped to make The Brentwood Library truly one of the finest libraries in Tennessee.

What We Do

The Friends sponsor book sales four times a year and on-line through Amazon.com. All monies from the book sales go directly back into your library! Members also donate countless hours of volunteer service.  The following are special projects funded by the Friends' efforts:
- Library staff scholarships for library staff for travel and attendance at conferences and workshops
- Staff Development Day
- Summer Reading Programs
- Electronic equipment
- Additional wiring for the security cameras
- Holiday decorations
- Art Wall and Showcase Displays
- Many other improvements to services and collections at the library.
