Planning Commission Info Mtg: Held electronically pursuant to Gov Ex Order #16, 34 & 51

The Planning Commission "Informational Meeting", unless otherwise rescheduled, takes place at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday before the regular Planning Commission Meeting (1st Monday the month). This informal meeting is an opportunity for the Planning Commission to discuss the upcoming agenda, to ask questions of staff and applicants, and to request additional information prior to the formal Monday meeting.

In the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of the public, this meeting will be held electronically pursuant to Governor’s Executive Order No. 16, 34, and 51. Physical presence of the public will be limited, but the meeting may be viewed online.

Planning Commission Informational Meetings are videotaped and posted to the web the day after the meeting: CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO. The video is broadcast on Comcast channel 19 the following Monday (the day of the formal Planning Commission meeting) at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.. It is re-broadcast on the following Wednesday at the same times.

The primary duties of the Planning Commission involve oversight of new and revised development applications for commercial and service institutional (churches, schools, etc.) facilities, as well as subdivision actions which can range from simple lot divisions to major residential communities. The Planning Commission also provides recommendations on rezoning actions and zoning ordinance revisions to the Board of Commissioners. One member of the Planning Commission is the Mayor of Brentwood, or a person appointed to fulfill those responsibilities.
