Planning Commission Mtg: Held electronically pursuant to Gov Ex Order #16, 34 & 51

Unless otherwise rescheduled, the Planning Commission meets monthly at the Brentwood City Hall (5211 Maryland Way) on the first Monday evening of each month at 7:00 p.m. (CLICK HERE FOR MEETING SCHEDULE). In the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of the public, this meeting will be held electronically pursuant to Governor’s Executive Order No. 16, 34, and 51. Physical presence of the public will be limited, but the meeting may be viewed online.  Any citizens who wish to make a comment may have access to do so via webcam at City Hall during the citizens comment portion of the meeting.

Planning Commission Meetings are videotaped and posted to the web the day after the meeting: CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO.  The videos are also broadcast on Comcast channel 19 the following day (Tuesday) and Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.


The primary duties of the Planning Commission involve oversight of new and revised development applications for commercial and service institutional (churches, schools, etc.) facilities, as well as subdivision actions which can range from simple lot divisions to major residential communities. The Planning Commission also provides recommendations on rezoning actions and zoning ordinance revisions to the Board of Commissioners. One member of the Planning Commission is the Mayor of Brentwood, or a person appointed to fulfill those responsibilities.
