Art Displays

September Gallery Exhibit

Jordan Weisenauer was born in Indiana and earned his BFA in Painting from the University of NorthBreathe Alabama. Now living in Nashville, he has been operating a local gallery and studio showing his and other artists’ art. Focusing on acrylics, his paintings are created using a palette of colors that provide a broad variety of styles from which to choose. The theme of storytelling is important to the artist, as evidenced in his style choices. Recently, Jordan has started using impasto-like textures to create an almost three dimensional depth and sculptural quality to his work.

September Showcase Exhibit

Elizabeth Braswell will be displaying the work of her mother, (the late) Estelle Ansley Worrell, who is the author of ten books on American costume, dollhouses, dolls, teddy bears, puppets, and miniature rooms, which have been sold throughout the world. She is well known in the doll, teddy bear and costume world and her work has won numerous awards. Mrs. Worrell is a graduate of the Peabody College for Teachers at Vanderbilt University with a degree in Home Economics. Later, she studied art and art education at the Kansas City Art Institute, where she eventually became a member of the faculty. Over the years, Estelle has taught part-time at several local universities. This display will include doll furniture and teddy bears made by Estelle for her daughters. dollhouse
