The Brentwood Historic Commission is a volunteer citizens’ board. Its purpose is to promote the preservation of Brentwood’s historic sites and heritage. This is accomplished by recognizing and preserving the historic sites in Brentwood and providing educational programs, activities and events relating to the heritage of Brentwood. Home occupations must be approved by the Brentwood Board of Zoning Appeals for certain occupations or by the Planning and Codes Department. Certain types of business occupations are prohibited. Applications should be submitted to the Planning and Codes Department at 5211 Maryland Way. A pamphlet on "Home Occupations" may also be obtained at City Hall or the city's website.
