Capital improvements are long-term investments in a city's infrastructure that enhance the quality of life for residents, improve safety, and support economic growth. These projects typically involve the construction, repair, or upgrade of public facilities, transportation systems, utilities, parks, and other assets.
By investing in these projects, Brentwood demonstrates its commitment to progress, sustainability, and providing a safe and efficient environment for residents and businesses.

Transportation projects account for the largest portion of the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) budget — approximately 46% of the planned budget for fiscal years 2025–2029. These projects aim to address safety concerns related to substandard, narrow roads and provide additional capacity to help alleviate current and future traffic congestion.
