What began in 1986 with just 26 members serving a population of approximately 15,000 from a single fire station has evolved into a modern, highly capable organization of 69 personnel. Today, we proudly serve more than 45,000 residents from four strategically located stations. Our daily operations include staffing five Advanced Life Support (ALS) Engine Companies, a Ladder Company, a Tower Company, a Medium Rescue unit, and a range of specialized support vehicles.
Throughout our history, and still today, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering the highest level of fire suppression, public fire education, emergency medical response, and technical rescue services to both our citizens and visitors. Our department is built on the pillars of leadership, service, integrity, and excellence. We are proud to employ a team of highly trained, dedicated professionals who consistently provide innovative and dependable service to our community.
Our commitment to excellence has been recognized through various honors, including Awards of Excellence from the Greater Nashville Regional Council and the Tennessee City Management Association. Most notably, in 2014, Brentwood Fire & Rescue earned Accredited Agency status from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International—becoming only the 201st agency worldwide to do so, a distinction we continue to maintain.
These achievements would not be possible without the ongoing support and trust of the community we serve.
