Granny White Parks Closed for Next Few Weeks

As part of the City’s storm recovery efforts, Granny White Park will be mostly closed to the public, beginning Feb. 5 and continuing for approximately 10 weeks.

Brentwood Contracts with Debris Removal Company to Speed Up Recovery

Several city and contracted crews will work simultaneously, spread throughout the city, removing debris from residential lots. They will be out from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, until the project is done.

  • Indian Burial Mound From 900 A.D. to about 1450 A.D. , a group of prehistoric Native Americans lived in the Brentwood area. It is assumed that two waves of migration occurred during that time with both living at some point on what is now known as Primm Historic Park. From 900-1050, those living there are known as the Mound Builders.

  • Water Services The Water Services Department includes staff who manage Brentwood’s Water and Sewer Systems. The City of Brentwood does not operate water or sewer treatment plants. Instead the City coordinates with several utilities such as the Harpeth Valley Utility District and Metro Water Services for our drinking water.

  • Food Truck Regulations The City of Brentwood welcomes mobile food vendors to serve in our community provided proper license and regulations are being followed. Ordinance 2017-01 and Ordinance 2017-02 address regulations and permitting in order to maintain the health, safety and welfare of our citizens. The permitting process for individual trucks as well as events involving more than two trucks is outlined below.
  • Citizens Fire Academy The Brentwood Fire & Rescue Citizens Fire Academy is a free, three-month program offering over 30 hours of hands-on training and education. Open to adults, it provides a behind-the-scenes look at fire service operations, including rescue tools, safety drills, and fire simulations, fostering community engagement and awareness.

  • Veterans Monument Project The City of Brentwood has embarked on an ambitious project to develop a Veterans Memorial on city property by the summer of 2026. A Veterans Memorial Ad Hoc Committee was established in June 2025 to come up with designs and raise funds for this project.
  • Parks & Recreation The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to provide a variety of active and passive park facilities and programs to accommodate the needs, interests and expectations of local residents and other users.
  • Deerwood Arboretum and Nature Center Deerwood showcases native trees, migratory birds, butterflies and other wildlife. The park features bike paths and jogging trails, ponds, a wildflower meadow and a Nature Center Complex with an outdoor classroom. There are also restrooms, information kiosks and a small amphitheater. An educational curriculum is available for use by schools and service groups.
  • Crockett Park Home of the historic Cool Springs House and the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater, Crockett Park is the site of many Brentwood events and activities including the Brentwood Summer Concert Series and the annual 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks.
