Brush Rules

KNOW THE RULES

1. Brush must be behind the curb not further than 10 feet.
2. Limbs must not be longer than 8 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter. 
3. Debris that is the byproduct of commercial cutting/trimming, 3rd party, or anyone other than the homeowner will not be accepted.
4. Leaves and grass clippings will be collected in brown paper bags only. Plastic bags will not be accepted. (paper bags can be bought from most home project stores such as Home Depot, Lowes or Ace Hardware)
5. No rocks, dirt, root balls, mulch, trash, glass, nails, plywood, decking, artificial wood or construction material.
6. You must be residing in the residence that the debris is piled in front of. If the house is under construction and you are NOT residing in the home and you place debris at the curb, it will be assumed to be an abandoned pile and NOT picked up.
7. Do not stack brush, clippings or other leaves near stationary objects like a fire hydrant, mailbox, utility pole, etc. OR under trees or power lines. Piles will not be picked up as it is a safety issue.
8. Be mindful of parked vehicles in front of your pile during your assigned week. Please leave at least 10 feet of clearance to access the pile.
9. *If your pile is not picked up but you saw one of our grapple trucks either on your street or at your home, please check for door hanger and look at any checked boxes.  You may have violated a brush rule(s) and once it has been corrected, we will pick up during your next scheduled brush removal.
10. Do not put multiple piles of brush along your property line. Put all of your brush in one pile, on your property, away from a stationary object, out of the street, not under a tree or powerline.  The pile cannot be deeper than 10 feet from the edge of the street as that is the maximum extension of our grapple arm.
11. All brush must be piled on YOUR property. You may not leave it on common space or HOA/POA property. We must have your address in order to log it that it has been picked up should a question arise.
12. KNOW YOUR WEEK. Always put your pile out the Sunday evening of your assigned week to avoid being missed. DO NOT Assume that because you saw us on a Wednesday of your assigned week for the last year that means it is your day of the week. It is not. That is pure coincidence and luck. Once we have run your week, we will NOT be back until the following month so please do not call to make a request to have us come back because you missed us.
13. Our trucks run your street like the postal carrier does, one side at a time. So you may see the truck on the OTHER side of the street and they may or may not have run your side of the street. Did you have your pile out on Sunday evening? Don’t try to play the catch the truck game. If you see us and we already ran your side of the street, even though we are on your street and you can visibly see us, we will not double back and pick up your pile. You have missed us. You will have to wait until the following month and we will pick up your pile at that time. Please don’t run after our trucks/drivers, that is very unsafe and it puts our drivers in a uncomfortable position as they are doing exactly what they are instructed to do.

If you feel like you are not sure where to put your pile, please contact our office and we will come out and survey your property to see where the safest, most efficient location is to place your pile for removal by our equipment or staff.

*If a pile violates of any of the rules and is not picked up, residents will receive a door hanger on the flag of your mailbox with a box checked giving a reason why.  Staff may write in a reason if it is not listed on the hanger.
