Project Description

The Murray Lane/Holly Tree Gap intersection was the last all-way stop intersection between two arterial or collector roads in Brentwood. This all-way stop condition previously caused significant traffic delays during peak times, as it was a common pass-through point for both regional commuters traveling to and from Maryland Farms and Brentwood residents commuting to and from Scales Elementary School. A traffic study completed for the intersection in 2019 concluded a roundabout would provide the most efficient traffic flow. Construction for the intersection began in May of 2025 and was completed in August of the same year. The intersection now functions more efficiently, reducing traffic delays and improving safety.
