Split Log Road is an important arterial road that extends into unincorporated Williamson County within Brentwood's Urban Growth Boundary. The current alignment — with vertical and horizontal curves that create sight distance and maneuvering challenges — requires realignment and widening to accommodate growing traffic demands and increased development interest in the area.
This project phase will realign and widen a 1.0-mile section of Split Log Road from Sam Donald Road to the intersection at Sunset Road and Waller Road. The improvements will include a 3-lane curb and gutter cross-section, with a 10-foot-wide multi-use path on the south/east side and a 6-foot sidewalk on the north/west side. This project also offers the opportunity to extend the City's bicycle/pedestrian path from its current terminus near the Cromwell subdivision all the way to the Sunset/Waller intersection.
