Street Light Problem

Overview

It's important to know the difference between a "street" light and a "traffic" light.  A street light illuminates roads, sidewalks, and public spaces during the night time. A traffic light controls the flow of traffic at intersections or crossings with a series colored lights that are assigned a specific function.  Overall...A street light helps you see, a traffic light tells you what to do.

How should I report an outdoor light outage?

You will need to know which electric company district the light is in. It will be either MTE or NES.
The city has no control over the repair timeline.

MTE- Middle Tennessee Electric

You can fill out the Outdoor Light Service Request form by going to the MTE website by clicking the orange button at the bottom of this page.

Then click the light blue button in the middle of the page that looks like this: (Please note this is NOT a link but a picture of what you need to look for when you arrive at the web page to report your outage)
