Chief Pender serves as Brentwood's Fire Marshal and head of Community Risk Reduction program. Fire safety inspections and public education activities are a large part of every employee’s job at Brentwood Fire & Rescue. Code enforcement is a valuable method of preventing fires, which prevents death and injury to our citizens and our firefighters.

Reaching Out to Our Community

Did you know that every year approximately 3,500 Americans die in a fire? Or that unintentional injuries kill 6,000 children and permanently disable 120,000 kids every year? To us, these figures are more than statistics and represent the faces of individuals that we meet every day. Brentwood Fire & Rescue is trying to change these numbers by aggressively educating the public about what they can do to take responsibility for their safety.

Citizens Fire Academy

Every day firefighters in the city respond to emergencies. Do you ever wonder what the fire engine is going to as it passes by with lights flashing and sirens blaring? Or what it would be like to be inside the cab as it responded?

As part of our effort to teach the community what we do, the Citizen Fire Academy was created to allow our citizens to get a hands-on glimpse of what it is like to be a firefighter.

Tornado Shelter Registration

Does your family have a tornado shelter in your home? If so, please register your shelter. This database, implemented by the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency, will enable first responders to know specifically where to search for survivors in the event of a tornado or other severe weather emergency.
