Veterans Monument Ad Hoc Committee

The Veterans Monument Ad Hoc Committee consists of eight members, six residents appointed by the Board of Commissioners, one Board of Commissioners Representative, and one Historic Commission Representative. 

The City Commission at the May 27, 2025 meeting authorized the creation of an Ad Hoc committee to facilitate the creation of a veterans monument on city-owned property.  The monument will honor all who are serving or have served in our nation's armed forces. The committee will conclude its work no later than 18 months from the date of the first meeting.

The committee is soliciting input from local veterans, veterans organizations, and the broader community in developing a plan for the construction of a monument adjacent to the Brentwood Police Department Headquarters on Maryland Way.
