BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The City of Brentwood recently installed new carpet in the John P. Holt Brentwood Library’s Children’s Library, updating one of the City’s most engaging spaces.

Funded through the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Improvement Program, the project reflects the City’s ongoing investment in maintaining high-quality public spaces.

“As Brentwood’s most frequently visited facility, the library plays a central role in daily community life,” Lee Boulie, library director, said.

The Children’s Library, known for its forest theme, received special design attention. City staff selected a custom green carpet with leaf designs to complement the space’s nature-inspired aesthetic.

City and library staff collaborated on the selection, reviewing multiple options from commercial flooring providers. Fourteen staff members, primarily from the Children’s Department, voted on the final design, which was also approved by the Brentwood Library Board.

The new carpet, provided by Tarkett Commercial, enhances both the appearance and durability of the space for the thousands of visitors it serves each week.
