The goal of this department is to provide a comprehensive program of human resources services for all City employees.
Functional areas include:
Recruitment, testing, selection and on-boarding of new employees
Administration of an exceptional fringe benefit package
Maintenance and communications of the City Personnel Rules and Regulations
Administration of position classification and salary system ensuring above average compensation practices
Management and supervisory training and other employee relations activities. Provides consultation services to management, department heads and supervisors to assure fairness and consistency in employment practices, including hiring and promotion, disciplinary and termination and day-to-day policy interpretation
