📋 Project Description

Efficient traffic signal operation is one of the most cost-effective methods for improving traffic flow within the City. Ensuring signal equipment is upgraded when necessary and maximizing signal capabilities through advanced technologies is a key component in addressing traffic concerns.

This project implements traffic signal system upgrades at 44 intersections throughout Brentwood as part of a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) improvement initiative. Upgrades include new signal equipment, video detection systems, accessible pedestrian signals (APS), and ADA-compliant curb ramps where required. Traffic signal timing will also be programmed to optimize intersection operations and improve overall traffic flow. The project is being completed as a Local Programs TDOT project.
