John P. Holt Brentwood Library Opens Newly Renovated Quiet Room

The $80,000 project transformed the former teen area into a refined retreat featuring glass walls and doors that complement the library's existing architecture, new flooring, fresh paint, enhanced ceiling treatments, updated electrical features, an electric fireplace, and comfortable new furnishings.

Brentwood to host open houses at historic sites on Aug. 2

The Brentwood Historic Commission will host open houses at several of the city's historic properties from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, offering residents an opportunity to explore Brentwood's history through guided visits and self-paced tours.

Brentwood City Commission Approves Budget for 2026-27 Fiscal Year

On Monday, June 22, the Brentwood Board of Commissioners approved the city’s $109 million budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year. That number represents a 9.5 percent decrease from last year’s budget, and the vote came after the city hosted three public hearings in May and June, allowing the community to comment on the budget.
