Veterans Monument Ad Hoc Committee
The Veterans Monument Ad Hoc Committee consists of eight members, six residents appointed by the Board of Commissioners, one Board of Commissioners Representative, and one Historic Commission Representative.
The City Commission at the May 27, 2025 meeting authorized the creation of an Ad Hoc committee to facilitate the creation of a veterans monument on city-owned property. The monument will honor all who are serving or have served in our nation's armed forces. The committee will conclude its work no later than 18 months from the date of the first meeting.
The project construction will be funded through private donations raised from the Brentwood community. The total project cost will be approximately $1.5 million.
The City Commission approved the concept design for the monument in May 2026. The site will be adjacent to the Brentwood Police Department Headquarters on Maryland Way. Click the link below to see the design and learn more.
