Special Operations

Brentwood Fire & Rescue provides specialized Technical Rescue services to the citizens and visitors of Brentwood, Tennessee, as well as our neighboring communities. These advanced capabilities extend beyond traditional fire and medical response, allowing our department to manage complex and high-risk emergencies.

Our Special Operations teams are trained and equipped to respond to:

  • Confined Space Rescue

  • High- and Low-Angle Rope Rescue

  • Trench and Excavation Rescue

  • Structural Collapse Shoring and Stabilization

  • Vehicle and Machinery Extrication

To maintain these capabilities, members of the team undergo rigorous and ongoing training in highly specialized areas, including:

  • Rescue Specialist

  • TECC and Critical Care Trained Paramedics

  • Structural Collapse Specialist

  • High & Low Angle Technician

  • Trench Rescue Technician

  • Confined Space Technician

  • Technical Search Specialist

  • Type 3 COML & All Hazards COML Specialist

These disciplines, along with many others, ensure that Brentwood Fire & Rescue can safely and effectively respond to incidents that require technical expertise, specialized equipment, and precise coordination.
