Brentwood Commission Asks for County Representation on NES Board

The Commission approved the resolution in response to Winter Storm Fern, when many of the Nashville Electric Service’s (NES) Brentwood customers lost power for weeks. Several residents contacted the city, via email or through social media, asking for a voice on NES’s governing board – the Electric Power Board.

“Please get all your remaining brush out immediately,” Dale Biggerstaff, Brentwood Public Works Director, said. “We expect the second pass to only take two weeks, and we hope to finish around March 28, give or take a few days.”

  • Indian Burial Mound From 900 A.D. to about 1450 A.D. , a group of prehistoric Native Americans lived in the Brentwood area. It is assumed that two waves of migration occurred during that time with both living at some point on what is now known as Primm Historic Park. From 900-1050, those living there are known as the Mound Builders.

This park in particular is a microcosm of Tennessee history representing prehistoric Native American culture and education of the 1800’s.
