Brentwood Names Drew Muirhead New Water Services Director

A Nashville-native, Muirhead earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University. He previously worked with the engineering firm Barge, Wagner, Sumner & Cannon, and he joined the City in 2016 as Assistant Director of Water Services.

Brentwood Commission Asks for County Representation on NES Board

The Commission approved the resolution in response to Winter Storm Fern, when many of the Nashville Electric Service’s (NES) Brentwood customers lost power for weeks. Several residents contacted the city, via email or through social media, asking for a voice on NES’s governing board – the Electric Power Board.

  • Indian Burial Mound From 900 A.D. to about 1450 A.D. , a group of prehistoric Native Americans lived in the Brentwood area. It is assumed that two waves of migration occurred during that time with both living at some point on what is now known as Primm Historic Park. From 900-1050, those living there are known as the Mound Builders.

  • Water Services The Water Services Department includes staff who manage Brentwood’s Water and Sewer Systems. The City of Brentwood does not operate water or sewer treatment plants. Instead the City coordinates with several utilities such as the Harpeth Valley Utility District and Metro Water Services for our drinking water.

  • Food Truck Regulations The City of Brentwood welcomes mobile food vendors to serve in our community provided proper license and regulations are being followed.
